Transdev in Tinley Park, IL is hiring a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

Competitive compensation package of minimum $18.00/hour – Maximum $20.50/hour

Benefits include:

• Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

• Holidays: 10 days; 8 standard and 2 floating

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage real-time ADA paratransit service delivery
• Adjust service to multiple providers as needed and directed
• Communicate effectively with Operators, service providers, client and customers
• Respond to service disruptions and emergencies
• Ensure compliance with all ADA, FTA and Pace-defined performance and safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years' experience dispatching.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Availability to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day)
• Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
