SA-TECH provides the U.S. Army, other U.S. agencies and allied nations with Aerial Target Flight Services (ATFS), operating and maintaining aerial target flight operations for any directed mission and aerial target flight operations and maintenance services at Fort Bliss, TX; White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM; and other Posts, Camps, and Stations (PCS) in the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside CONUS (OCONUS). We are currently seeking to hire an Electronics Technician Maintenance I at WSMR based out of our facilities in Orogrande, NM . As an ETM, you'll need to apply basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, such as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers and oscilloscopes. You'd have to apply your technical knowledge of electronics principles to determine equipment malfunctions, and then apply your skill to restore equipment to working condition, as well as to evaluate performance and reliability of prototypes or production modes. You'd work under close supervision, receiving technical guidance from a supervisor or higher-level technician and your work would be checked frequently for accuracy. Primary functions for this position include (but are not limited to) Applying basic technical knowledge to perform routine O&M tasks following detailed instructions. Troubleshooting and isolating electronic circuits and interpreting Technical Manuals and schematics. Modifying and installing various types of electronic equipment and related devices. Work includes cross-utilization into other positions that fall within our scope of work. Other duties as assigned. Work Conditions Conditions will vary but most work will be accomplished in enclosed buildings.
