Intermodal Driver Instructor
Home time: Daily
Experience: 12 months or greater CDL experience
Job responsibilities
- Coach, mentor and onboard new drivers.
- Perform hands-on training in the classroom and in the truck.
- Train drivers on safety, hours of service, trip-planning, workflow, tablet, policies and procedures.
- Act as a safety advocate and driver retention ambassador for the organization.
- Teach driving skills that align with Schneider's guidelines and materials.
- Show drivers how to use Schneider's electronic tablets and workflow system.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Evaluate and provide updates on candidates who are not meeting expectations.
- Prepare drivers for a safe and rewarding career at Schneider.

Skills qualifications
- Previous instructor or training experience preferred.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
- Demonstrates a positive, professional attitude.
- Able to learn, demonstrate and train Schneider's company policies and procedures.
Driver qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- DOT physical card.
- Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
- Live within 50 miles of Chambersburg, PA.
