SHEET METAL MECHANIC (AIRCRAFT) SUPERVISOR

Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as section supervisor over employees engaged in condition evaluation, test, repair, modification and overhaul of aircraft structural assemblies, components, and pans. Employees are engaged in identification, removal, and prevention of corrosion on assigned/authorized aircraft, and ground support equipment. Additionally, other employees are required to inspect machines, weld, repair aircraft pans and components, and to design and manufacture support equipment used in all types of aircraft maintenance. Provides training to reservists in the accomplishment of task herein.
DUTIES:
DUTY 1: Performs work planning responsibilities.
DUTY 2: Applies Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)/Equal Opportunity Treatment (EOT) principles and requirements to all personnel management actions and decisions, and ensures all personnel are treated in a manner free of discrimination.
DUTY 3: Ensures education in, compliance with, and practice of security directives, good safety, and health habits in all work areas.
DUTY 4: Serves as technical advisor to Flight Chief in the resolution of production problems.
DUTY 5: Reserve training.
