About the Role The Asset Protection Specialist has thorough knowledge of KnitWell Group’s security and life safety procedures. Performs duties as a floor officer and acts as a deterrent to theft. Responds to and proactively addresses life safety, security, and operational issues. Flexibility to work overtime as required. Responsibilities Checks employee ID badges to control facility access and logs visitors/contractors. Monitors facilities CCTV, fire/burglar, and access control systems. Answers and transfers internal/external phone calls as part of Front Desk procedures. Conducts daily and monthly audits and facility inspections (i.e. compliance audits, safety/security checklists, etc.). Responsible for initiating internal/external investigations based on daily inspection findings and/or information received from other sources. Secures facility during non-operational hours. Provides after-hour security service/surveillance (walk and/or monitor associates to their automobile, etc.) to associates in times of need. Oversees incident/injury reporting and applies first aid in times of need. Tracks and monitors all damaged, pilfered carton reports. Responsible for initiating and controlling Emergency Response. Performs other administrative duties as needed by AP Management. Qualifications Minimum of six months experience in Asset Protection/Loss Prevention or security preferred. High School diploma or equivalent. Must be flexible to work any hours required. Self‑motivated; must be able to work with little or no supervision. First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred. Certification will be required during employment and provided by KnitWell Group. Possesses some computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
