Public Area Attendant

Job Type: Full Time Pay $ 15.00 Hourly Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of ageReports to: Executive Housekeeper This position is a P.M. shift. Schedules are typically 3:00 – 11:00 or 4:00 – 12:00 a.m. Holiday and weekends will be required As a Public Space Attendant, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the public areas, public bathrooms, lobby and back of the house areas such as employee bathrooms, locker rooms, pool and fitness center, according to company procedures and at a level that meets or exceeds company standards. Responsibilities include: Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, offices, and other work areas. Sweep, scrub, and polish floors using brooms and mops. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner and shampoo machines. Dust furniture and equipment. Polish metalwork such as fixtures and fittings. Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Wash windows, door panels, and sills. Empty and clean wastebaskets and ashtrays. Transport garbage and waste to disposal area. Replenish common area bathroom supplies. Qualifications Personal Skills Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors. Ability to accurately report information. Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures; hold subordinates accountable for same. Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change. Consistently maintains positive demeanor. Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development. Conducts him\herself, acts and dresses professionally at all times. Understands and communicates the Driftwood Mission. Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally. Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis. Physical Requirements Minimum lifting and pulling of 20 pounds. Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity. Hearing, writing.
