Role Description The Patient Care Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Chicago, IL. This position supports daily clinic operations by greeting patients, managing check-in and check-out procedures, and ensuring a welcoming, efficient patient experience. Responsibilities include scheduling and confirming appointments, coordinating follow-up visits and referrals, verifying patient information, and assisting with insurance and basic billing inquiries. The role also involves communicating with patients by phone and in person, explaining clinic processes, and relaying messages between patients and clinical staff. The Patient Care Coordinator works closely with dermatology providers and the administrative team to support smooth patient flow and high-quality care. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Appointment Scheduling and Care Coordination skills to manage patient visits and follow-up care efficiently. Candidates should possess professional Phone Etiquette and Patient Care skills to ensure clear, courteous, and supportive communication with patients. Candidates should possess a working knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately relay information between patients and clinical staff. Candidates should possess solid organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced medical office setting. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. Candidates should possess proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
