Waypoint's client is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Contracts Specialist – Senior.Responsibilities:Act as a business advisor with regard to acquisition strategy, contract types, market research, contracting methods and sole source and competitive procedures.Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)Support Pre-Award function including but not limited to: Preparing contract-related documents (e.g., Acquisition Research Center (ARC) postings, Acquisition Plans, Contract Review Panel (or equivalent) briefings and other documentation required for contract award and administration);Review Requests for Contract Action Packages (RCAPs) for adequacy, consistency, and compliance with administrative, regulatory, and procedural requirementsPreparing Request for Proposals (RFPs)/solicitations;Supporting proposal evaluations;Performing Cost/Price analysis;Communicating with Industry;Developing negotiating positions; andObtaining required reviews and approvalsSupport Post-Award functions including but not limited to: Administering contracts;Executing Contracts;Managing contract file and database systems;Supporting compliance reviews;Identifying and resolving contract performance problems/issues;Processing, tracking and reviewing invoices;Preparing and disseminating contract modifications;Compiling and reporting contract status to management;Preparing contract documentation to support briefings and meetings; andPreparing contracts for settlementRequirements:Must have significant NRO contracting experience.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsGovernment customer service skillsBachelor's Degree in related field (Desired)Desired Experience in Functional Discipline (Contracting Specialist): 6 YearsDesired:DAWIA/FAC-C contracting level 2 or higherCFCM/CCCM/CPCM Waypoint Human Capital
