Talent Acquisition Specialist

Beacon Hill's client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist with full-cycle recruiting experience to provide leave coverage. This position is part of the HR Talent Acquisition team and operates separately from the firm's Legal Recruiting function. The role is primarily focused on recruiting professional staff and offers the opportunity to support a variety of searches, including Staff Attorney and Governance/Conflicts Attorney positions, as business needs arise. Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist Location: Hybrid; must work onsite in Los Angeles, CA 90071 at least two days per week on a fixed schedule Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM PT. Mondays and Thursdays are designated onsite days. Additional onsite attendance will be required for in-person candidate interviews. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (MUST-HAVES)

Full-cycle recruiting experience with a strong emphasis on sourcing Experience using Workday Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and OneNote is a plus Strong LinkedIn sourcing experience with the ability to proactively identify, engage, and recruit candidates with minimal direction Professional services recruiting experience required; legal recruiting experience is a plus but not required

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience 2+ years of experience interacting with and maintaining data in an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Ability to present the firm to potential candidates and effectively communicate, in a compelling manner, the firm's culture and what makes the firm an appealing place to work Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with hiring managers, serving as a trusted advisor to individuals at all levels of the organization. Highly organized and able to accurately track a high level of activity Ability to produce accurate and timely work Knowledge of recruiting best practices, procedures, applicable employment laws and regulations, and human resources best practices Ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision The candidate will receive training on the firm's platforms, processes, and ways of working; however, success in this role requires the ability to quickly step in, take ownership, and confidently craft thoughtful, role‑specific interview strategies. They should be naturally curious and resourceful, with the ability to quickly learn unfamiliar positions, technologies, and tools, transforming new information into meaningful candidate conversations and informed hiring decisions.

JOB SUMMARY

The Temporary Talent Specialist is responsible for several aspects of the firm's talent practice and contributes directly to the firm's success, helping attract, retain, and develop top talent. This role is responsible for professional recruiting, preparing candidates for hire, and supporting related onboarding functions. The Talent Specialist partners closely with internal and external clients to provide high-quality service and support for talent processes driven by the Human Resources Department. The position consults with and supports internal clients by sourcing, recruiting, and hiring new employees, while delivering an exceptional level of client service throughout the recruitment process.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Follow the recruiting process for professional talent at the firm. Follow recruiting practices and processes to be compliant with all laws and regulations Consult on all facets of the hiring process to enable the best outcome for all parties. This includes recruiting strategy, determining selection criteria, interview structure and topics, timing of hiring, compensation within given ranges, negotiation of offers, and other important details around the start of employment. Partner with outside vendors (agencies) and source candidates for open positions to ensure a consistent pipeline of candidates. Assess and implement new agency relationships, as needed. Field and review candidates for eligibility and skill matches. This includes reviewing submitted applications for a match against the job description. Facilitate candidate review with direct supervisor and other identified interested parties, including scheduling and interview preparation for the interviewer and interviewee. Schedule interviews timely and accurately (by phone, virtual, and in-person). Track all activity in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Interact with candidates professionally to maximize the potential of hiring an excellent candidate. This includes describing positions and the firm, answering candidate inquiries, process logistics like interview scheduling, as well as managing the overall candidate experience. Participate in interviews and provide valuable insight from an outside perspective for hiring managers. Use and navigate the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and data to align with hiring process and to facilitate accurate data. Adhere to agency Master Service Agreements (MSA) to ensure accurate charges as well as adherence to contract terms. Perform other duties as assigned.
