JOB DESCRIPTION
About Facility:
o 182 licensed beds
o Trauma Level IV Designation
o Teaching Hospital
o Chest Pain Center
o Stroke Center
o Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Department Information:
o Average patients/day across modalities: 325
o Minimum Years of Experience required: at least 1 year
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Will see a variety of diagnoses across ED, Inpatient and Outpatient areas
Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
o All modalities will require photo ID collected during compliance process
o NC State Licensure is not required
o Dual Modality CT/DX: BLS; ARRT (R)(CT)
Skills required:
o Varies based on modality discussed during interview
Support within the Department:
o Nursing, Transport
Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
o Department specific Equipment: Siemens, Client
Floating: If yes, where?
o N/A
Orientation (facility and unit):
o NEO online courses
o 3-5 days departmental depending on modality
Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: depends on position discussed during interview
o Call Required: Depends on modality discussed during interview
o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
o RTO: Manager approval
o Shift times: Varies with modality. This will be listed on the e-form request
o Schedule cycle: every 4 weeks

o Department Culture: High volume setting with Team accountability for patient centered care
