Senior Tax Associate

MBYS, Inc. (MBYS) is a CPA firm specializing in tax services located in the Denver Tech Center. MBYS is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic professional to join our tax team as a Senior Tax Associate. We offer a small office environment with hands-on client work alongside other team members and partners. As a Senior Tax Associate, you will be responsible for: Providing tax planning, preparation, and review of partnership, C Corporation, S Corporation, individual, and trust income tax returns Provide year-end accounting adjustments and clean up for business clients Assist with managing client accounts and fostering client relationships Identifying and mitigating tax risks Qualifications: An undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting Active CPA license 3+ years of experience working in a public accounting firm, working with individuals, partnerships/LLCs, S Corporations, C Corporations, and trusts. Comprehensive understanding of income tax laws Provide consultation on business and/or personal transactions for clients and their related tax implications, consequences, and treatment Continually build on technical expertise in taxation by attending continuing professional education courses or utilizing other training resources Keep current with tax law changes and provide updates and training to the firm’s tax practice members Developing responses to IRS and other regulatory and tax authority audits, notices, and inquiries Act as a key person on client engagements, coordinate receiving information, and make decisions about client updates and technical issues Participate in developing, improving, and maintaining tax department technical resources, business processes, and methods Excellent written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge of CCH Axcess and QuickBooks is a plus Compensation range for this role: $80,000 - $110,000 + Bonus. Actual compensation based on skills, experience, and relative qualifications.
