Job Overview A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Senior Associate specializing in Life Sciences to join their New York, NY office. This role involves engaging in advanced patent prosecution and litigation within a dynamic team of legal professionals. Responsibilities Conduct patent prosecution and litigation in the life sciences sector. Manage and develop patent portfolios. Perform competitive landscape analyses and assess patentability. Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys on complex legal matters. Requirements 3-5 years of post‑JD experience in patent prosecution and litigation. Experience with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, gene therapy, medical device, and digital health patents. Admission to practice before the USPTO. Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction (MA, NY, CA, CO, or DC). Education JD from an accredited law school. Undergraduate degree in Biology. Life sciences PhD strongly preferred. Certifications Admission to practice before the USPTO. Skills Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
