Injury Lawyers of NJ is a busy and growing plaintiff's personal injury law firm dedicated to helping accident victims throughout New Jersey and New York. We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Legal Assistant and Receptionist to join our team, where your energetic and organized approach will be vital in supporting our legal team and creating a welcoming environment for clients.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, professional, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional client service.

This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal administrative skills while contributing to impactful cases. You will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, manage essential case documentation, and assist with a variety of legal tasks across multiple practice areas including personal injury law. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will help ensure the seamless operation of our busy office.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients, visitors, and callers with professionalism and enthusiasm, providing excellent phone etiquette and customer service.
• Manage incoming calls, direct inquiries appropriately.
• Request medical records and bills from hospitals, physicians, and healthcare providers through online portals and direct communications.
• Confirm medical balances, liens, and outstanding charges with providers and insurance companies.
• Prepare and send initial client correspondence, intake letters, and case-related communications.
• Obtain property ownership searches and public records online.
• Request police reports, summons dispositions, accident reports, and other case-related documents.
• Open, sort, scan, upload, and electronically file incoming mail and documents.
• Assist attorneys and paralegals with case management and administrative support.
• Upload, organize, and manage electronic documents.
