Our mission is to connect experienced professionals with organizations executing complex projects and critical infrastructure initiatives.Position OverviewPerform Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) of HVAC air and hydronic systems to ensure alignment with engineering design specifications and performance standardsConduct precise measurements of airflow, water flow, temperature, and pressure using specialized TAB instrumentationAdjust dampers, valves, and control systems to achieve optimal system balance, efficiency, and performanceDiagnose system performance issues and identify deficiencies impacting operation, energy efficiency, or occupant comfortInterpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to validate system installation and operationPrepare detailed TAB reports and documentation to support project compliance and closeout requirementsCollaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to resolve system issues and support project executionSupport commissioning activities, including system validation and final performance verificationWork in active construction and retrofit environments, contributing to successful project delivery and system reliabilityRequired Technical SkillsProven experience performing Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) of HVAC systemsStrong knowledge of air distribution and hydronic systemsAbility to measure and verify airflow, water flow, pressure, and temperatureProficiency using TAB instruments such as airflow hoods, manometers, and anemometersAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and system schematicsExperience adjusting dampers, valves, and control systems for proper system balanceStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities for HVAC system performance issuesAbility to prepare detailed TAB reports and documentation with high accuracyKnowledge of HVAC system operations, controls, and industry standardsAbility to work independently in field-based environmentsExperience / QualificationsTAB Certification through NEBB or AABCExperience supporting commercial, industrial, or large-scale construction projectsFamiliarity with commissioning processes and final system verificationOSHA safety training or certificationsExperience working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and active construction environmentsWillingness and ability to travel to project sites as requiredAPS Consulting FooterAugment Professional Services (APS) delivers specialized talent, consulting expertise, and project support to organizations operating in complex technical environments.
