Description

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position at a teaching hospital, requiring 2 years of experience and heart and lung transplant experience.

Details

• Teaching hospital CVOR unit with trauma level I and II case exposure
• Day shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Candidates will float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the CVOR specialty required
• Experience with heart and lung transplants required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Compact or KY State license required at time of consideration
• License required if applicable
• At least 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform surgical technologist duties supporting cardiovascular, thoracic, and transplant procedures
• Utilize skills in aseptic technique, instrument processing, and sterilization/disinfection
• Support cases involving cardiothoracic robotics and hybrid OR settings where applicable
• Adhere to Universal Protocol time-out procedures and emergency/fire safety protocols
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Former UK-affiliated facility employees must have a 6-month break in service before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration; requests made afterward will not be approved
• Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
