Details Medical-Surgical Combination unit within an academic community hospital 24-bed unit serving patients of all ages Patient ratio of 1:6 Uses Meditech EHR system Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday Every other weekend or as-needed weekend coverage required As-needed float requirements As-needed call requirements Requirements Active RN license (Virginia or Compact) Current BLS, HWC, and NIH certifications required HWC certification available on-site Minimum 1 year of RN experience required 2 years of Med/Surg experience preferred Additional Information Work within a 250-bed academic community hospital recognized as a Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center Facility offers comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour ED, cardiac rehabilitation, and medical/radiation oncology services Random drug screening consent and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required Scrub color is flexible but casual wear is not permitted Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for the travel rate Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment American Traveler Job ID P-735773.
