Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room Circulator

Where You Will Work:

13 OR beds. Our specialties include, breast, plastics, ENT, urology, general, some vascular, gyn, robot, orthopedics and podiatry.

We're Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

• Strong preference for experience RN and/or prior OR experience

What You'll Do:

• Deliver individualized care using the nursing process—assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient's needs.

• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Promote patient safety by implementing risk-reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly. Verifies patient identity, allergies, and surgical site

• Educate patients and families, adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting readiness for discharge.

• Coordinate care and discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum.

• Lead and delegate effectively, fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel.

• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and unit performance.

• Maintain professional growth through ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance activities.

• Patient Care - time outs, positioning of patient, maintains sterile and safe environment, prepares the OR with necessary supplies, checks for inventory, and documents all aspects of the procedure

Schedule Details/Additional Information:

• Variable – primarily days shift

• Day Shift 0630 starts (10) hour shifts Operating Room RN flex starts based on OR schedule

• Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotation required. Needs to live within 30 minutes
