PositionPlant Operator Job Summary Including but not limited to the following: Comply with all Imerys, MSHA and Equipment Manufacturing Safety Policies and Procedures. Read quality specification. Observe operation of equipment to ensure continuity of flow, safety, and efficient operation, and to detect malfunctions. Move controls to start, stop, or adjust machinery and equipment that crushes and grinds materials. Record data from operations, testing, and production on specified forms and complete required forms. Examine materials products visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established standards. Perform tests applicable for process or product being produced, set mill gauges to specified fineness of grind. Clean and adjust equipment using hand tools. Notify supervisors of needed repairs. Rocognize defective products and readjust equipment to eliminate problems. Able to understand and follow mill work instructions to ensure proper workflow and finished goods. Able to climb up and down stairs/ladders and maneuver around equipment and tight spaces. Any other job duties assigned by management.
