Days Left: 13 days, 4 hours left Apply Job Title: CNC Setup Machinist Job Location: Seattle, WA, 98109 Job Duration: 11+ Months (Contract to Hire) Pay Rate : $34 / hr to $37 / hr About the Role We are looking for an experienced CNC Setup Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines, program and modify CNC programs, troubleshoot machining issues, and produce high-quality precision parts. Key Responsibilities
- Set up, load, and operate CNC machines for production.
- Perform complex machine setups and standard/custom fixture setups.
- Write and modify CNC programs using G-code and CAM software.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Optimize cutting parameters, tool paths, and machine settings.
- Troubleshoot machine, programming, and quality issues.
- Perform first-article and in-process inspections.
- Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and replace cutting tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards.
- Support process improvements and provide guidance to CNC Operators.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of CNC operation and programming experience.
- Strong knowledge of G-code and CAM software.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
- Experience with standard and custom fixture setups.
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.
- 7+ years of CNC machining experience.
- Technical certification or associate degree in machining.
- Experience with Mastercam, ESPRIT, or similar CAM software.
- Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines.
- Experience with fixture design and tooling optimization.
- Lean/Six Sigma training or forklift certification.
- 5+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
- Strong G-code/CAM and machine setup skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T
