Full Time Richardson, TX, US $15.00 To $15.50 Hourly About the Role: The Construction Cleaning Porter plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and safety on construction sites throughout the United States. This position ensures that all debris, dust, and construction waste are efficiently removed to create a safe and organized work environment for all personnel. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to prepare sites for inspections, handovers, or subsequent phases of construction. The Construction Cleaning Porter collaborates closely with site managers and other trades to coordinate cleaning schedules that minimize disruption to ongoing work. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall quality and professionalism of construction projects by upholding high standards of cleanliness and site presentation. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment. Familiarity with safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage on construction sites. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in construction site cleaning or janitorial services. Valid driver’s license (optional) Responsibilities: Perform thorough cleaning of construction sites. Sweep, mop, and wash floors, walls, windows, and other surfaces to maintain a clean environment. Dispose of construction waste in compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Assist in setting up and breaking down cleaning equipment and materials as needed. Coordinate with site supervisors to ensure cleaning tasks align with project timelines and safety protocols. Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues observed during cleaning activities. Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition. Skills: The Construction Cleaning Porter utilizes physical stamina and attention to detail daily to ensure all areas of a construction site are thoroughly cleaned and safe. Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation allows the porter to efficiently remove debris and maintain surfaces to high standards.
