Cath Lab Technologist - Whitehouse, TX

Exciting opportunity available for an experienced Catheterization Laboratory Technologist with strong electrophysiology (EP) background. This full-time contract role plays a vital part in supporting cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency while collaborating closely with a dynamic healthcare team.


Schedule:

• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts

Desired Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology, associate's degree in a healthcare-related field, or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 0-1 year of acute care experience preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency or experience in electrophysiology (EP) procedures is essential
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required (AHA only)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required for independent work in pediatric settings (AHA only)
• Preferred certifications: RCIS, RCES, RCS by CCI; Radiography (R), CI, CV, VI by ARRT; AB, OB/GYN, AE, RVT by ARDMS
• State licensure required according to modality; Texas: MRT or LMRT by TMB
• Commitment to obtaining and maintaining all necessary certifications within designated time frames

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the catheterization lab, ensuring operational readiness and equipment quality control
• Operate and set up imaging and specialized cath lab equipment (X-ray, IVUS, ICE, hemodynamic systems, etc.)
• Accurately document patient data, hemodynamic measurements, and procedure records
• Serve as the radiation safety representative during X-ray use
• Maintain strict aseptic and safety standards at all times
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care and department efficiency
• Participate in daily checks, restocking, and patient transport as needed
• Support departmental quality improvement initiatives and uphold core values of excellence, compassion, and integrity
