Job Description
Avery Partners is hiring a Medical Assistant with specialty office experience. This position is full time Mon- Fri 8-5pm. There is potential travel between 2 locations in Sandy Springs and Alpharetta.
Responsibilities
- Assist Physician or NP with medical procedures
- Accurately document patient information in the EMR system
- Complete and manage surgery-related paperwork as needed
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Follow up with patients regarding care and treatment plans
- Order and manage patient medications
- Utilize and apply medical terminology relevant to the specialty
Requirements / Preferences
- Medical Assistant diploma required
- EMR experience required ( Allscripts preferred )
- Certification preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Background check and drug screen requested
- Have transportation to go to Alpharetta when needed.
