Machine OperatorMachine Operator with experience operating and maintaining Voortman machinery to cut, burn and/or drill structural steel components including beams, angles, tubing and channels for fabrication and processing.Physical RequirementsStand or Sit(Stationary position), Walk(Move, Traverse), Use hand/fingers to handle or feel (Operate, Activate, Use, Prepare, Inspect, Place, Detect, Position), Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance (Ascend/Descend, Work atop, Traverse), Stoop, kneel, crouch, or Crawl(Position self(to), Move), Talk/hear(Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information), See (Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess), Pushing or Pulling, Reaching, Repetitive MotionFunction in the JobMedium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Job FunctionRead and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand project specifications.Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on Voortman equipment to ensure optimal performance.Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure precise cutting and drilling as required.Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines, schedules and deadlines.Troubleshoot and rectify operational issues with Voortman machinery in a timely manner.Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.Proven experience operating machinery or similar CNC Equipment.Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and techniques.Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in the steel service center industry.Proficient in basic computer skills and familiarity with machine control software.Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills and abilities.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a TEAM environment.Required Skills5-7 years experience requiredEEO StatementReliance, Inc.
