MA Star Family Medicine Clinic Part-Time (3 - 10.5s) Days

Position Overview Employment type: Part‑time, 12‑hour day shift. The Saint Alphonsus Health System’s Star Family Medicine Clinic is looking for a personable, experienced Medical Assistant to support a family medicine physician in the city of Star, Idaho. Key Responsibilities Perform general medical assistant duties. Administer immunizations and perform blood draws. Assist with minor procedures. Complete prior authorizations and task inbox orders. Be cross‑trained in Urgent Care for coverage or float opportunities. Ideal candidates are proactive, personable, possess strong customer‑service skills, can multitask efficiently, and enjoy providing excellent patient care. Small clinic allows for independent work at times. Work Schedule 3-12 hour days on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 6:45 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Location 10717 W. State Street, Star, ID 83669 – next to City Hall. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent at hire. Medical Assistant certification obtained within 90 days of hire from an approved agency (American Association of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists, National Healthcare Association, National Center for Competency Testing, National Association of Health Professionals, American Medical Certification Association, National Phlebotomy Certification Examination). For new graduates: MA certificate of completion from an accredited program plus either a 100‑hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience. For experienced MAs: 1 year of MA experience, current MA certification, or certification obtained/renewed within 90 days of hire. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network required at hire. EMT and CNA certifications do not count toward MA certification.
