Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Ludlow, MA
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly
Overtime: Expected based on production needs

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician performs routine quality testing and inspections to ensure products, materials, and production processes meet established quality standards. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate testing records, monitoring production quality, and assisting with corrective actions when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Test batch and production line samples in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate sample results and quality documentation.
• Complete testing documentation, including pass/fail results.
• Analyze applicable raw materials and maintain testing records.
• Monitor production lines for proper materials, fill levels, labeling, packaging, coding, seals, and overall finished-product appearance.
• Assist production employees with correcting products that do not meet quality standards.
• Help ensure manufacturing lines meet cleanliness and contamination-prevention standards.
• Enter and verify formulations in SAP.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment and maintain calibration records.
• Assist with laboratory chemical inventory.
• Participate in emergency response procedures as required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and follow safety rules, procedures, and written instructions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, crouch, and perform other physical activities throughout the shift.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Comfortable working around moving machinery and in an active manufacturing environment.
• May be exposed to airborne dust or vapors; appropriate respiratory protection will be provided when required.
