Compensation Range: $47.85 - $71.72 per hour

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Currently licensed to practice nursing in New Jersey or a graduate eligible for licensure.
• Certifications: BLS and PALS/ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Experience: Prior experience in Acute Care is preferred.

Work Environment and Hazards

• Exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and odors.
• Risk of infections and communicable diseases.
• Potential exposure to hazardous materials.

Physical Demands

• Must be physically capable of reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, walking, and standing for the majority of the shift.
• Ability to perform effectively in rapidly changing and stressful situations.

Job Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Create a healing environment by planning and delivering both traditional and personalized comfort measures.
• Act as an advocate for patients and families, providing information and facilitating participation in goal-setting.
• Teaching and Coaching: Identify patient readiness for learning, develop individualized teaching plans, and document outcomes.
• Interpret patient conditions and provide rationales that meet the needs of patients and families.
• Emergency Management: Respond effectively to life-threatening situations by recognizing emergencies, initiating interventions, and documenting results.
• Adjust priorities based on clinical demands.
• Assessment and Monitoring: Accurately identify and document significant changes in patients' conditions, ensuring appropriate nursing care based on detailed assessments.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to determine suitable interventions.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Perform and adapt procedures as required, ensuring adherence to hospital policies.
• Administer medications safely and document according to nursing standards.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure safe and quality patient care by engaging with team members in quality monitoring activities.
• Participate in performance improvement meetings and contribute to enhancing care standards.
