Engineering manager

job summary:
Process Engineering Manager-Direct hire,full time- Myrtle Beach, SC- Local client is seeking an experienced Engineering leader with prior experience with mechanical engineering projects and process improvement projects. Candidate must have prior leadership skills and experience from within a manufacturing environment. Client is offering a base salary, profit sharing bonuses and full benefits/401K. Relocation assistance offered to qualified candidates.

• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, project schedules
  
  
• Oversee engineering projects related to compressed air systems, cooling water systems, and bridge crane systems
  
  
• Establish equipment layout for expansion and efficiency
  
  
• Establish and adhere to tight design schedules and cost budgets.
  
  
• Assist production engineers in troubleshooting day-to-day production problems and writing or modifying quality work instructions
  
  
• Management of about 6 Engineers and Engineering Department

• Bachelor's degree Mechanical Engineering
  
  
• 5 years experience in manufacturing
  
  
  
• Experience in improving process capability, process optimization and control
  
  
• Experience improving production workflows via manufacturing-focused training initiatives
  
  
• Management/leadership experience of engineers and hourly machine operators

• Direct Reports - 5 Engineers (Senior, Process, Mechanical)
