CITY MANAGER WHOLESALE

The City Manager Wholesale will be responsible for the operational and commercial supervision of Santoni’s wholesale presence in New York City. The role combines hands-on selling support on the shop floor, wholesale support activities, and local coordination to maximize sell-out performance, brand visibility, and customer experience across department stores. Key Responsibilities Department Store Presence & Sales Activities Be consistently present on the shop floor across assigned department stores (e.g. Bloomingdale’s, Saks, Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom), acting as brand ambassador and dedicated sales associate Welcome and assist final customers, telling the Santoni brand story, products, craftsmanship and values. Actively ensure Santoni products are proposed to customers in key buying moments, competing effectively with other luxury brands. Support special sales activities such as trunk shows, in-store events and peak selling periods. Operational Supervision & Brand Standards Monitor product display, visual merchandising and overall brand presentation. Ensure full compliance with Santoni’s brand image and service standards within wholesale locations. Work closely with department store teams to enhance brand presence and performance. Stock Management & Wholesale Support Monitor stock levels, sell-through and replenishment needs and proactively identify reorder opportunities Display shoes in stock and not displayed Handle special customer requests (sizes, exclusive products, VIP clients). Support wholesale order management in coordination with HQ wholesale teams. Analysis & Reporting Identify growth opportunities and propose corrective or improvement actions. Provide structured feedback to HQ regarding performance, competition and market insights. Relationships & Coordination Build strong relationships with buyers, store managers and sales associates within department stores. Act as the local point of reference for the Santoni brand in New York. Support the US wholesale team in commercial and strategic local initiatives. Requirements Previous experience in premium/luxury retail or wholesale, preferably within US department stores. Background as sales associate or floor staff in multi-brand or wholesale environments. Strong sales and results-driven mindset. Solid understanding of department store dynamics and customer experience standards. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
