Manufacturing Buyer / Purchasing Agent Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $17.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 04:30am )

• Manage purchasing: Source and purchase raw materials, components, hardware, and supplies needed for production.
• Own purchase orders: Create, maintain, and monitor POs while ensuring accurate pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.
• Manage suppliers: Obtain quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, track supplier performance, and resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Keep production moving: Monitor inventory, forecasts, and material requirements while expediting critical or past-due materials.
• Collaborate across teams: Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, Inventory, Shipping/Receiving, and Accounting to prevent shortages and resolve issues.

Manufacturing Buyer / Purchasing Agent Qualifications:

• 3+ years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing purchasing processes.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate pricing, inventory, usage, and lead times.
• Ability to understand BOMs, part numbers, specifications, inventory requirements, and production schedules.
• Strong supplier-management, negotiation, organization, and follow-up skills with a high sense of urgency.
