Registered Nurse - Psych Krembs 3

Position OverviewUnited Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Krembs 3 Behavioral Health unit at Binghamton General Hospital. This adult inpatient psychiatric medical unit provides compassionate, patient‑centered care for individuals with a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses. The Krembs 3 team is dedicated to creating a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment that supports recovery and dignity, in alignment with the UHS mission to improve the health of the communities we serve.

Nurses on Krembs 3 collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of mental health technicians, social workers, therapists, and providers to deliver holistic, individualized care. Compensation Range:

$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule

• Evening

• 3:00PM - 11:30PM

• 24 hours per week

• Every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements and evaluates nursing care in managing a group of patients, serving as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse, when designated by unit assignment and consideration of factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost and impact.

• Educates patient and family in health promotion and disease management using available resources.

• Utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications according to United Health Services policy.

• Shares in responsibility for productivity and effective resources utilization including staffing, time management, supplies and services.

• Complies with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and United Health Services policies.

• Actively participates in and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model by supporting the Unit Council, participating in improvement initiatives, and contributing to peer review practices.

• Actively engages in professional development, continuing nursing education, and completing all mandatory education requirements.

• Integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice.

• Provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.

• Will follow all United Health Services Values

• Will perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing

• Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

• Current NYS RN License

Preferred:

• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty

• Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
