Paint Line Operator

Position Paint Line Operator – Pomona, CA Working Hours 5 AM – 1:30 PM Hourly Pay $19.98 with raise evaluations every six months. Responsibilities Hang, load, place, and remove parts/materials from paint line conveyor or other paint line machinery. Verify and process work orders in adherence to the production schedule or expedited orders. Mark coated parts with identifying information. Inspect coated materials for paint defects and make repairs as applicable. Initiate scrap tickets to generate part replacement orders. Accurately discard scrap and/or defected materials not serviceable. Operate paint-line machinery (e.g., paint booth, wash tanks, curing oven, burn-off oven). Manually spray hard-to-paint parts to help achieve 100% quality paint coverage. Perform and document common routine testing conducted in paint lines (e.g., ground test, viscosity test). Test water samples for conformance to specification (e.g., pH levels). Add specified chemicals to water tanks to reach proper chemical levels. Accurately drain holding tank in compliance with applicable safety regulatory laws. Observe, inspect, and perform routine testing of machine gauges, dials, or other indicators to detect defects or deviations from standards, and make adjustments. Clean and maintain machines, equipment, and work area to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent experience (preferred). Basic shop math knowledge. Basic computer skills and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools. Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and comprehending the English language. Able to work standing for the duration of the shift. Capability to reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material. Ability to make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and handle materials. Must be able to stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb.
