Certified Behavioral Health Coding Manager

To lead a remote team of coding auditors, the full-time Certified Behavioral Health Coding Manager will oversee operational results, ensure audit quality, and drive strategic initiatives related to behavioral health coding and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Provides operational oversight of the outpatient behavioral health coding audit team and serves as the primary subject matter expert Leads development and refinement of behavioral health review guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory changes and payer policies Partners with clinical leadership and audit management to implement new clients and drive continuous improvement in audit workflows Required Qualifications: Current certification as a CPC, CPC-P, RHIA, RHIT, or CCS; CPMA preferred Certified Behavioral Health Coding Specialist (CBHCS) or equivalent credential strongly preferred 5+ years of outpatient behavioral health medical coding and/or coding audit experience Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health documentation requirements and DSM-5 coding application 4+ years of relevant management or supervisory experience in a similar business environment
