Material Handler - 1st Shift | Bettendorf, IA

We're looking for a reliable Material Handler to support production operations by moving materials, supplying workstations, and helping maintain an efficient workflow throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move materials throughout the facility.
• Deliver raw materials and components to welders and machine operators to keep production running smoothly.
• Transport finished products to designated staging and storage areas.
• Stage products from the expansion area and prepare work areas for upcoming production.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials, including oversized items such as augers.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations throughout the shop.
• Support production teams by ensuring prep bays are stocked and ready for use.
• Work closely with welders, operators, and shop personnel to maximize productivity.
• Follow all company safety procedures and best practices while working indoors and outdoors as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of sit-down forklift experience .
• Ability to safely operate a forklift in tight spaces and active production environments.
• Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs when needed.
• Experience working in manufacturing, warehouse, production, or material handling environments.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently after training while remaining a dependable team player.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous weld shop or fabrication environment experience.
• Material staging, inventory, shipping/receiving, or production support experience.
• General knowledge of packaging, unloading, and warehouse operations.

1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Work Environment

This position is based in a busy manufacturing facility and works closely with welders and production teams. The Bettendorf location is entirely indoors, offering a comfortable environment while still providing the fast-paced atmosphere of a production floor. Candidates should be comfortable operating equipment, moving materials throughout the shop, and working safely around active manufacturing operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bettendorf, IA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
