Cloud Engineer Position

Apex Systems is looking for a professional cloud engineer to support one of our fortune 100 clients!

Location: Must be onsite in McLean, VA or Dallas, TX at least 2 days per week - on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Must Haves:

• Must have experience using Python. Java is a preference.
• Cloudera and AWS experience is an absolute must; S3, EC2, (EKS is a preference - Or even experience with Kubernetes outside of AWS would be a plus). Must have experience writing ETL pipelines. Ideally, they would have experience with MapReduce and Spark.

Schedule:

Some schedule flexibility may be required for occasional L3 support after hours or on weekends.

Data Engineer Experience in understanding and implementing against technical IAM architecture designs across six major capability areas:

• API security and API integration with IAM systems for sharing identity contexts.
• Good knowledge in identity and access data correlation, normalization and building of cohesive identity and access data models for large enterprises.
• Experience with complex Identity and Access Management integration and service delivery use cases and requirements.
• Knowledge of IT, service-oriented architectures, software development life cycles, or information security platforms and applications.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in software development
• 3+ years of related industry experience in an enterprise environment
• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• Java Spring / Spring Boot, JPA / Hibernate, Postgres and REST / RPC calls over
• Kubernetes
• Jenkins, Git and Artifactory
• Formal design patterns and industry best-practices
• Scripting languages (e.g., Groovy / Perl / Python / Ruby)
• 2+ years of experience with requirements, design, implementation, integration, and testing for data and analytics integration
• 2+ years of experience across a variety of technologies such databases, directory services, application servers, network infrastructures, Linux operating systems, and an understanding of fundamental security and data flows within these components.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, driven, and creative individual Scaling CI / CD systems and microservices - Code coverage analysis / static analysis tools - Agile programming processes and methodologies such as Scrum - Overseeing / managing production Web application deployment
• Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience(required)
