Desktop Support Technician (Field Support)

Location: Homer City, PA / Blairsville, PA

Overview: We are seeking two Desktop Support Technicians to provide onsite IT support for a large-scale infrastructure and construction project. These individuals will serve as the first line of support for end users, assisting with workstation deployments, hardware troubleshooting, new hire onboarding, and day-to-day technology support across multiple office locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional who enjoys hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and learning in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will have access to remote support resources and mentorship while gaining valuable enterprise-level IT experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop support for employees and project personnel
• Set up and deploy new workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and login-related issues
• Serve as the first point of contact for technology support requests
• Assist with new employee onboarding, workstation setup, and account access
• Support Windows-based environments, Apple devices, and common office technologies
• Coordinate with remote IT teams to escalate and resolve technical issues
• Manage basic inventory and deployment of IT equipment
• Support office build-outs, workstation moves, and technology installations
• Assist with badge provisioning and access-related tasks as needed
• Deliver a high level of customer service and white-glove support to end users

Required Qualifications

• Experience providing desktop, help desk, or technical support
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and PC hardware
• Experience supporting laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a larger support team
• Professional demeanor and customer-facing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ServiceNow or a similar ticketing platform
• Basic networking knowledge
• Exposure to iOS device support
• Experience performing desktop deployments and hardware installations
• Basic scripting or automation experience
