Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements
• Manage and oversee all accounts, ledgers, and accurate reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards, regulatory requirements, and Office of Management and Budget audit requirements
• Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial procedures
• Oversee all financial project/program management and participate in corporate finance decisions
• Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, budgets, and actual expenditures
• Keep updated on all legal regulations regarding company financial operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• A minimum of five years’ experience in a senior accountant or similar role
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• High attention to detail and superb analytical skills
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and team management skills
• Experience with creating financial statements and knowledge of corporate finance law
