RN Labor and Delivery

Job Summary (List Format):

- Experience: Minimum 2 years required
- Traveler Status: No first-time travelers accepted
- EMR: Epic experience required
- Certifications Required:
- BLS
- FHM
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate
- ACLS (preferred)
- Patient Diagnoses:
- Labor/Preterm labor
- Low risk LD
- Low risk antepartum
- Unit Details:
- 8 labor rooms, 4 triage rooms
- Responsible for circulating, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, scrub roles
- Special Procedures:
- Administer blood/blood products
- Cardioversion/defibrillation
- Use of cooling/warming blankets
- Manage drains, epidural pumps, PCA/syringe pumps, wound vac
- Administer heparin, insulin, magnesium sulfate
- Special Equipment/Responsibilities:
- Attend all deliveries, including high-risk
- GYN surgeries
- Couplet care
- Transition nursery
- Staffing Ratio: 1:1-3
- Float Requirement: Yes, to Post-Partum and NICU based on skill set
