Instrument Test Technician Compensation
- Pay rate: $32.00 per hour
Instrument Test Technician Responsibilities:
- Conducts production testing of assembled flow cytometers and related medical device products, including system integration and troubleshooting.
- Performs system-level and subassembly troubleshooting to identify root causes and correct defects.
- Performs instrument optimization functions such as laser alignment and pressure adjustments after final assembly.
- Ensures products meet performance specifications through final testing and inspection.
- Analyzes test results on defective units, determines root causes, and recommends repairs or replacements.
- Documents test data, generates Device History Records, and maintains accurate records.
- Collaborates with engineers, technicians, and production personnel to resolve testing issues and improve processes.
Instrument Test Technician QUALIFICATIONS:
Critical Information
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
- Onsite work environment
- Performing tests, troubleshooting, and documentation are key responsibilities
- Willingness to be trained in additional production areas
Education/Licenses Needed
- Associate's degree (A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- 3+ years related experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment
- Experience with laser-based optical systems, fluidic systems, and electronic circuitry
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 and cGMP 21 CFR part 820
- Experience with PC networking, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
