Job Summary:
An experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is sought for a high-acuity unit located in Saint Louis, Missouri. This position requires candidates to bring their license on the first day and involves working night shifts. The selected candidate will provide advanced care for critically ill cardiac and CVICU patients, managing complex procedures and conditions. Candidates with a minimum of two years of cardiac or CVICU experience are preferred, and the assignment is scheduled to begin on August 3, 2026.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shifts, a minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Missouri licensure; 2 years of ICU experience with a focus on Cardiac or CVICU; Certifications including ACLS and BLS; Flu vaccination required; Must bring license on the first day
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system; Demonstrated proficiency in arterial line management, ventilator management, intra-aortic balloon pump, LVAD/Impella, and other high-acuity cardiac procedures
• Float: Float within scope of CVICU when needed
• Additional Information: Candidates must have no neuro ICU experience required; clinical skills include management of arterial lines, pulmonary artery catheters, mechanical circulatory support devices, ventilator management, and complex cardiac procedures. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 with a daily census of approximately 14 adult patients, supported by interdisciplinary teams including respiratory and pharmacy services.
