Radiology Patient Flow Associate - Outpatient Radiology - Woodbury

Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Radiology Patient Flow Associate in the Outpatient Radiology department at Woodbury. In this role the successful candidate will coordinate and expedite patient movement within the Radiology Department, serve as a resource for communications around escalation, prioritization, and delays, and ensure efficient patient flow within the imaging section. Job Responsibilities Perform all other duties assigned Identify patient care requirements by establishing rapport and communication with patients, families, radiology staff, and patient transport Provide explanations of treatment delays to gain patient cooperation and reduce anxieties Use EPIC to track patients and prioritize patient movement Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and radiology technicians to prepare patients for examinations Prepare patients for imaging exams following departmental protocols Serve as a liaison with technologists, nursing, and other clinical staff to ensure proper documentation and appropriate exams Resolve patient related grievances by working with patient relations representatives Facilitate storage of patient valuables in designated lockers and document location in electronic records Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities Attend nursing shift huddles, staff meetings, and in‑services Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree with minimum two years experience or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency with personal computer and Microsoft Office. Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
