Overview Registered Nurse – GI Lab Portland, Oregon, United States Start date: 06/22/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (typical start around 7:00 AM, possible 6:00 AM or 8:00 AM) Weekly pay: $2,076–$2,119 per week Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital Travel assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC Responsibilities Prepare patients for GI procedures, assist physicians during endoscopy and related GI interventions, and monitor patients throughout the procedure. Administer medications and manage sedation under physician supervision; monitor post-procedure recovery per protocol. Monitor vital signs during procedures, document procedure notes, and communicate patient status to the care team. Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards; ensure proper operation and safety of GI lab equipment. Assist with patient education, discharge planning, and post-procedure instructions as appropriate. Collaborate with gastroenterology, anesthesia, nursing, and support staff to ensure efficient, safe patient care. Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (Oregon) – required. CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS or equivalent) – required. Experience in a GI lab or endoscopy setting preferred. Ability to work the listed shift pattern and accommodate variable start times. Strong patient assessment skills, critical thinking, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Eligibility to work in a short-term acute care setting and comply with facility policies.
