We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as an Apprentice Hardwood Flooring Installer & Finisher. No prior experience in flooring is required! We are committed to providing comprehensive, on-the-job training to help you develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a skilled professional in this exciting trade.
What You'll Learn and Do (Training Provided!):
Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will learn all aspects of hardwood flooring installation and finishing, including:
* Job Site Preparation: Learning to assess, prepare, and safely set up work areas.
* Material Handling: Safely loading, unloading, and organizing hardwood flooring materials.
* Installation Techniques: Mastering various installation methods for different types of hardwood flooring (nail-down, glue-down, floating, etc.).
* Sanding & Finishing: Operating specialized equipment to sand, buff, and prepare floors for finishing.
* Application of Finishes: Applying stains, sealers, and protective coatings to achieve desired aesthetic and durability.
* Repairs & Restoration: Learning techniques for repairing existing hardwood floors.
* Tool Usage & Maintenance: Proper and safe operation and maintenance of industry-specific tools and equipment.
* Blueprint & Measurement Reading: Understanding project specifications and accurately measuring spaces.
* Customer Service: Learning to interact professionally with clients and maintain a high standard of service.
* Safety Protocols: Adhering to all company and industry safety standards to ensure a safe work environment.
