At Jamail & Smith, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Marketing & Proposal Manager to lead and manage our Proposal Team. In this pivotal role, you’ll take ownership of developing and overseeing high-quality proposals, while collaborating with internal teams to gather vital information, ensure timely, accurate submissions, and strategically support business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a dynamic and creative personality, coupled with exceptional writing skills that capture attention and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively. They should have the ability to think outside the box and bring fresh, innovative concepts to life while maintaining a strong attention to detail in their written work. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a passion for crafting compelling narratives that engage and inspire audiences. As the Marketing & Proposal Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our marketing and proposal strategy, helping drive new business opportunities and foster strong client relationships. Your expertise in crafting tailored, compelling proposals will be essential in aligning our solutions with client needs, enhancing our competitive edge, and contributing to our growth. Responsibilities Manage & run the proposal & marketing department. Content Creation & Campaign Management: Oversee the creation of marketing content, including website updates, social media posts, case studies, project profiles, brochures, and presentations. Manage the execution of both digital and traditional marketing campaigns. Proposal Support: Work closely with the Proposal Team to assist in creating well-organized, persuasive proposals. From gathering project details to helping craft tailored content, you’ll contribute to each proposal's success by ensuring it’s clear, compelling, and aligned with client needs. Develop and Implement Marketing Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy tailored to the commercial construction industry, aligning with company goals and targeting key market segments. Continuously Update Proposal Criteria: Review and meticulously edit proposal content to ensure that all information is current, accurate, and strategically presented, demonstrating our proactive approach in delivering up-to-date and relevant details in every proposal submission. Collaborate with project managers, estimators, superintendents and other internal teams to gather key project details and technical information. Attend Bid/No-Bid Meetings: Contribute to pre-bid and bid/no-bid meetings. Participate in discussions to evaluate project feasibility, and help the team assess the best strategic approach for pursuing new opportunities. Jobsite Photography: Assist with directing and/or capturing stunning, professional photos of completed projects for marketing materials, presentations & social media. Networking Events: Represent Jamail & Smith at industry events, conferences, and local networking meetups. You’ll network with clients, partners, and industry leaders while promoting the company's brand and generating new business opportunities. Marketing & Branding Support: Assist with social media updates, company website branding, company apparel orders and jobsite signage as needed. Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as necessary to support the team’s needs and business objectives, ensuring a smooth and efficient marketing operation.
