Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience, though first-time travelers are welcome to apply. The role will focus on providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.

Patient Care Details

• Work within a Neuro/Stroke PCU floor, handling respiratory, cardiac, and mixed medical cases.
• Manage PCU level patients and titrate cardiac drips, with continuous telemetry monitoring.
• Utilize Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR for unit systems.

Work Environment

• No Block Scheduling is available; expect a nursing ratio of 1:4.
• The unit has 36 beds with an average daily census of 30 patients.
• Shift is 3x12 hours during the night (19:00 - 07:30).
• Floating may be required within the facility/scope of practice as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH are mandatory.

Schedule and Availability

• Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed.
• Spring Break blackout dates from April 4th to April 12th.
• Every other weekend availability is required unless specified otherwise.

Holiday Requirements

All travelers are expected to work the following major holidays if they fall within their assignment period:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Compliance and Orientation

Full compliance is necessary to start on time; non-compliance can lead to a two-week delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Orientation hours will vary based on contract length.

Locals are accepted at the same rate, and the total number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours is determined by the length of the contract.
