We're united by a commitment to excellence and a drive to be the best in the region. \n \n How you'll contribute \n An Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role will provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice as well as \n \n Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. \n Documents patient care provided. \n Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. \n Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. \n Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. \n Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances. \n Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. \n Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. \n Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed. \n Maintains regular and reliable attendance. \n Performs other duties as assigned. \n \n \n Why join us \n We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Additional requirements include: \n \n \n BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred. \n \n Associate's Degree required, BSN preferred. \n \n Minimum of 3 years ED experience preferred. \n \n \n More about Valley View Medical Center \n Valley View Medical Center 102,000-square-foot acute-care facility with two adjacent medical office buildings offering exceptional care to community.
