Controls Engineer - CEPG

Salary: $85,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

• We prefer a bachelors degree in electrical engineering or another related four-year field.
• We require at least two years of related experience or training.
• We need hands-on ability to use electrical test equipment and hand tools.
• We expect strong proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics.
• We value knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
• We require working knowledge of PLC and operator interface programming languages.
• We need the ability to travel as needed.

• We research, analyze, install, and test automation control systems to improve equipment efficiency and support future production needs.
• We develop input for control components, software, databases, graphics, and external system interfaces while following our standards and IS strategy.
• We diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and programming issues to keep equipment and facilities running smoothly.
• We contribute to preventive maintenance strategies for recurring problems to improve reliability and effectiveness.
• We partner with vendors, suppliers, engineers, and project teams to bring new or modified equipment and technologies onto the production floor.
• We serve as a key liaison to ensure control panels, wiring schematics, components, and electrical practices align with our specifications and procedures.
• We build strong working relationships across departments and support internal customers with operational improvements.
• We communicate proactively, train and mentor others, and help foster a team-focused environment.
• We follow safe work practices and comply with our electrical and safety policies.
