Quality Inspector

About the Job

Immediately hiring experienced Quality Inspectors for a large manufacturing plant on the southside of San Antonio.

Pay is $19-$19.25/hr. (depending on shift).

8 hr. PM overnight shift.

12 hr. AM shift (6:15am start).

Shift for 2-3 weeks of training is Mon-Fr 10am-6:30pm.

Duties:

• Assists in inspecting the components & gauges per laid instructions, drawings, or specification sheets.
• Use standard measuring tools like Micrometers, Calipers, Height gage, CMM, Vision systems.
• Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
• Perform Visual inspection for process qualification.
• Perform dimensional inspection for process qualification.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, CAD models, and technical specifications to determine acceptable tolerances.
• Record inspection results in ERP/QMS systems and ensure full traceability of parts and materials.
• Prepare quality data summaries for supervisors, engineers, and management.
• Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to investigate root causes.
• Provide guidance on GD&T interpretation, measurement methods, and inspection best practices.
• Create and maintain quality records such as FAIRs, inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), deviation notices, and corrective action documentation.

Requirements:

• Seeking at least 3 yrs. Quality Inspection experience .
• Must be able to read engineering drawing/blueprints.
• Knowledge of GD&T to be demonstrated.
• Must be a team player.
• Must be able to properly use quality gages - Micrometers - calipers - optical comparators - CMM, height gauges, indicating micrometers, etc.
