Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF) position in Dallas, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and AHA certifications.

Details

• Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 50 beds dedicated to severe injury and illness recovery
• Rehab Nursing unit specializing in stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Day shift, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (12-hour shifts)
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Equipment includes IV pumps, EKG machines, bariatric beds, and medication dispensing systems
• EMR: Cerner and Epic

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Rehab or med/surg nursing experience required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides individualized, intensive rehabilitation nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, amputation, major surgeries, and other serious conditions
• The facility is CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
