This is a rewarding opportunity for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide compassionate care in school health rooms, contributing directly to the success and safety of students from elementary through high school. These contract, PRN (sub/per-diem) roles offer flexibility with the potential to transition into full-time positions, depending on district needs.
Enjoy the variety of working with different age groups and schools, all while making a positive difference each day. Start dates begin in August and assignments typically run through the end of the school year.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida LPN license
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- School-based experience highly preferred
- Ability to complete orientation and training at the district office
- Must complete required fingerprinting and credentialing processes
- Adaptability to varying student health needs throughout the school day
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct care to students in school health rooms across elementary, middle, or high school campuses
- Respond to daily student health issues and needs as they arise
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation for students
- Collaborate with educational staff and parents to coordinate care
- Attend required trainings and complete monthly orientation sessions
