Travel Registered Nurse – Critical Care

Travel Registered Nurse – Critical Care in Athens, GA. 8-week contract with up to $2,000 per week based on experience. Provides comprehensive care for critically ill patients in ICU, Step-Down, or LTAC settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients with complex medical conditions
• Monitor and assess patient status, including vital signs, neurological status, and cardiac rhythms
• Care for patients requiring ventilator support and advanced respiratory interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and specialized treatments as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists and care teams to manage ventilated patients
• Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation in accordance with hospital protocols
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and care needs
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care planning
• Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year recent ICU or Step-Down experience
• Experience in LTAC settings highly preferred
• Comfortable caring for ventilator-dependent patients
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage complex patient conditions and rapidly changing situations
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from accredited program
• Active RN license in Georgia or eligibility to obtain
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ventilated patients strongly preferred
• Experience in LTAC settings highly preferred
